Misconceptions

For most people when they think about being faithful as a person, we think about it in terms of being faithful to our spouse or significant other.  But as a Mom, whether your a single parent or not, haven't you ever felt guilty about spending time to yourself, or buying something special just for you?  I'm talking about that feeling where you think that you're being selfish because that time and money should be spent on your kids. We have all felt it, and I call it the feeling that we're not being faithful to our children because in that moment we aren't putting them before ourselves.  This is a very common misconception for mothers of all ages and backgrounds.  We love our children so much and want to provide them with the best life possible, so much so that we forget we still have to take care of ourselves too.  That's what this blog is all about, we as women realizing that once in a while we have to put ourselves first, and taking care of us doesn't mean that we are selfish or that we don't love our children.  It means that we care about our children and families enough to make sure we are physically and mentally able to take care of them.
